Plebtown is an interactive installation presented through a custom arcade-style cabinet. The work explores how belief systems are assembled and destabilized within overstimulated media environments. Players build an avatar from modular ideological "body parts," each drawn from contemporary online political taxonomies. These fragments form an intentionally unstable worldview that the player must keep alive through dialogue choices. The avatar responds with confusion and contradiction as it navigates a hypermediated landscape. As inconsistencies accumulate, the worldview collapses and the avatar calcifies, leaving behind a remnant in the game world. Over the exhibition, these remnants form a growing archive of failed ideological constructs. The project uses play to examine how identity is performed, maintained, and eroded under accelerated media conditions.

A fully playable version will be completed Summer 2026.
